What’s Happening in Room 18….

April
Newsletter

**I can hardly believe that we have moved passed the Winter season
and are already in Spring and heading into Summer, WOW!

*Recap of
the last couple weeks
: we have been learning so much through our
senses during our Science/Sensory theme; so far I think that the children are
really enjoying all of the many hands-on experiences! If you haven’t gotten the
opportunity yet I would definitely take a quick look in the room at all of  our displays so that you can see for
yourselves!

This week we are also finishing up
with the Easter holiday; the children had a blast during the Easter Egg Hunt,
making our own Egg Shakers and Dying hardboiled eggs!

*A quick
look into the next month:
Still continuing with our Science/Sensory
experiences with an experiment at least once a week; we’ve also been talking a
lot about the Seasons and the Weather that comes along with them. Which brought
us into the Spring time—why is rain so important, what can we sometimes find in
the sky after a rain or Thunderstorm, etc.(we painted a Scented Rainbow using
Kool-Aid instead of water colors last week!). We’ve been doing a lot of
brainstorming during our Circle Time in the mornings and have put all of our
ideas and thoughts on paper (located on the wall in our Library area) so that
we have plenty to keep us busy for a while! So…here’s too many more educational
yet fun and exciting days at school!!  J

*trade out your child’s extra change of clothes so that they are
weather appropriate.

*if for any reason your child is not going to be at school or
you plan on bringing them in any later than 9:30 PLEASE, PLEASE call and let

with our lesson for that day, thanks so much for your cooperation!

**I know
that we have another two months of the Fall Session left but I did want to say
that I have truly appreciated everyone’s communication and cooperation
throughout this school year.  For those
of you whose children will be moving to another room this summer—you and your

children were an important part of making this room “Our Room” and it has been
an incredible journey so far!!  Thank You
