Ms. DeAnne’s Newsletter

May 11, 2012

We have spent the majority of our week, working on special gifts for our
moms. We had a lot of fun using our little hands and big hearts to prepare the
top secret projects. We could hardly wait for you to see what we made. I think
it will make you smile and laugh a little too.

FYI….

Field
Day
– Our
annual field day will be held on Friday, May 25th.  We are
going to have a fun and exciting theme this year!  We will be inviting
everyone to participate in the OLP ECC Summer Olympics.  Our field day is
going to consist of many fun games based upon the different countries that
participate in the Olympics.  We will also be having a petting farm set up
in the side yard.  We will be providing a hot dog lunch that will include
a hot dog, bag of chips, apple slices and milk.  We welcome all families
to attend even if it is not your normally scheduled day to be here.  We
would appreciate it if all families would let your classroom teacher know the
number from your family that will be attending so that we can get an accurate
count for lunches (siblings are welcome).  The entire event will last from
8:30-12:30 and a more detailed flyer with details will go out next week.
We are in need of volunteers to make this as much fun as possible for the
children.  Please check out the sign up genius for time slots available.

Summer
Packets
– If
you are enrolled in our summer program you should receive a summer welcome
packet from your child’s teacher.  This will include permission slips,
information about their classroom, water play days and classroom
schedules.  The summer calendars with the field trip dates have already
gone out so if you are in need of one of those you will need to let the front
office know.  We will also be sending out a separate sheet to let you know
about our dates we will be walking to the library.  We apologize this
information was not on our summer calendars but the library just finished
setting their dates last week and we had wanted to get our calendars out
earlier than that.
